Project Lifesaver

Thank you for your interest in a Project Lifesaver bracelet. The bracelet is only available for purchase after you have submitted your request through this website and been approved by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The bracelets are intended for individuals who have been diagnosed with Autism, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or other cognitive impairment including some mental illnesses. In order to purchase, the caregiver or authorized representative will need to complete a brief phone interview with a representative of Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department or the Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS).

If the individual you care for qualifies, you will be sent instructions on how to purchase the bracelet directly from Project Lifesaver.

The Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services will assist you in registering the device with the Sherriff’s Department, setting up the bracelet and training the caregiver on how to replace the battery.

A bracelet costs $325.00 plus tax and shipping . Leasing options are also available through Project Lifesaver.
